Humble office beginnings

Our company was not always quite so big.

We currently employ 500 staff members but a mere 10 years ago we were a five-man band. The business was set up by Arif Husain as a subsidiary of his father's company Husain Enterprise, which was based within a large executive suite in Madison Avenue. Spurred on by the success he experienced working for his father's firm, Arif planned to set up his own construction business using the skills and talents passed on to him by others. His qualifications in building and design meant that the new project took off in style. However, at the beginning of the long journey towards success Arif and his small team worked in an office in Leeds that overlooked Clarence Dock. That small office was the place where future plans for development were drawn up and where the company completed its first five projects. Despite growing faster than the small space could handle, Arif was reluctant to move out of the space that gave birth to his successful construction firm and fed his entrepreneurial spirit.
